NuWave Bravo XL Air Fryer Convection Oven As Seen on TV
I needed a countertop air fryer/oven like a hole in the head, but I couldn't pass up the 40% off 2-day Kohl's coupon I received in a text message on 9/23/2023. Getting discounts that deep are few and far between. Had I not received that text, I never would have known I had that coupon sitting in my Kohl's wallet. I've been tempted to cancel those text messages a number of times because they come at such random times, but I think I'll keep them turned on. After this event, I highly encourage you to sign up for Kohl's texts, so you don't miss the good deals. They're actually pretty respectful about not blowing up your phone. Just a few here and there.
I headed to Kohl's kitchen section because I needed a new slow cooker. They were already on sale, plus I'd get another 40% off the sale price AND free shipping? For reals? So I put something in my shopping cart and applied the coupon. Oh, heck yea, it was real! That's when I noticed that the air fryer combo oven things were on sale, too, including those pricey Ninja air fryer/ovens.
I sat in front of the computer for a good two hours watching video reviews on Amazon, especially about the cons. In the end, I saw one video that convinced me to skip the Ninjas and go with the 12-in-1 NuWave Bravo XL Air Fryer Convection Oven, instead.
These NuWave Bravo XL features convinced me.
- Full retail price was $179.99. The Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fryer Oven was $349.99. After the Kohl's sale price and discount, I snagged the NuWave for only $109.99 before tax. Are you kidding me? It was a no brainer.
- Includes the temperature probe at no extra charge. A Ninja with temperature probe is $30 more than its model without the probe.
- Has 12-in-1 functions, including a low setting for making yogurt. The Ninja had 10-in-1.
- Has smaller footprint of 11.5" H x 20" W x 13.5"D. That was a big plus for me due to my limited counterspace. The Ninja was a monster at 13.34" H x 17.09" W x 20.22" D.
- Has a longer 36" cord. Ninja came in shorter at 30".
- Has clearly labeled tactile large push buttons. I know immediately where a function is. It has a radio dial for going up or down. On the Ninja, you have to press a function button to get to all the functions, then press the + or - buttons, tap, tap, tap, to get to where you want to be. Sorta like feeding your fish in the Fishdom game. I loved the dial so much more.
- Wider temperature range from 50F to 500F. The Ninja is 85F to 450F.
